In order to climb at the Little Rock Climbing Center, each person is required to fill out and sign an emergency information form and a liability release. The pdf version is posted below for your convenience. Please print, sign and bring both pages in with you when you come to climb.
Climbers under the age of 18 must have the waiver signed by their parent or guardian. (Waiver forms may not be signed by another relative or any adult other than the child's parent.) If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you!
First Time Climbers
How does it work?
The
first time you come in, we will give you basic safety training. We'll show
you how to put on a harness, how to use our 8 auto-belays and how to start
climbing. Anyone who is 13 or older can learn to work the ropes (belay)
and begin climbing on the 22 top-rope stations. You don’t have to have
a partner to climb on the auto-belay walls, but you do need a partner to
belay for you on the top-ropes. LRCC does not provide people to belay for
climbers.
How much does it cost?
For climbers age 5-12, a day pass costs $10 and harness rental is $3.50. For ages 13 and up a day pass is $12 and and harness rental is $3.50. If you would like to rent climbing shoes along with the harness it is $6 for both. Anyone 13 and older who would like to learn to work the ropes must take a one time belay class to learn the proper safety procedures. The belay class costs $6 and lasts about 15 minutes.
How old do I need to be?
Anyone age 5 or older can climb at LRCC. If you are 13 or older, you can learn to climb and belay your during your first visit. Children under 13 need an adult to belay them. Anyone under 16 needs an adult to stay with them while they are at the climbing center.
What do I need to bring?
We offer snacks and drinks for sale, but feel free to bring a water bottle
and your own power bar for extra energy while climbing.
Most importantly: All climbers need a liability waiver form signed before
climbing. For those under 18, the form needs to be signed by their parent.
Release forms may not be signed by another relative or any adult other
than the child's parent.
